Are you hosting Thanksgiving this year? Do you have family staying with you for Christmas? If so, you'll want to do all you can to make them feel at home, which means drafty guest bedrooms and cold bedroom floors won't do. Now is a great time to call Dr. Energy Saver Green Machine to take care of those issues before guests arrive.
Your air ducts can have lots of tiny holes and gaps where heat leaks out before it reaches certain rooms. We can seal those ducts from the inside using Aeroseal spray foam insulation, allowing air to flow at maximum efficiency so your guest room stays the same temperature as the rest of the house.
If you're finishing a guest bedroom in the basement, you don't just want to slap the flooring down on top of the cold concrete. We use ThermalDry Floor Decking with a layer of high-performance rigid foam insulation to create a thermal barrier between the concrete and flooring materials.
And if you have a bedroom above a garage that isn't insulated, chances are that room is colder than the rest of the house. We can keep warm air from leaking through the floor of the bedroom by insulating the space above the garage.
You can caulk around windows and use insulated curtains to block some drafts, but our technicians use special equipment to identify small, less obvious leaks that may be making your extra bedroom or other rooms cold. We can pinpoint areas where heat leaks out and cold air leaks in, such as:
Hosting overnight can be stressful, but it doesn't have to be. We can help you make your home extra comfortable for guests this holiday season while also lowering your energy bills. Just give us a call!
